While at iHobby this year, I noticed a product that could have
numerous applications for this sort of procedure.
If you look here:

and look at the product called "Liquid Gravity" you can see what I mean.
This product is a thick self leveling liquid that can be poured into
things like boilers and cars and it sets in a nice dull black
(actually, when put on a floor of a coal gon, it takes on the
appearance of coal dust) - there are a variety of products to "fix"
it. Non-toxic, no need to heat it - it has a lot of uses.
Some of their other products were intriguing as well. The product
line is supposed to be picked up by Horizon for distributing in the US.
