Keith, The Hoopole, Yorktown, and Tampico Railroad connected with the CB&Q at Tampico. The website link you provided has an abundant amount of information and photos on "The Dummy" as it was called. I have done some limited research on this railroad and it's interaction with the Q at Tampico. Anyone heard of the Pumpkin Vine? I was speaking with my sister in law who told me that her grandfather or great grandfather worked for a railroad called the Hoophole. I think she meant the Hooppole which connected the CB&Q to the C&RI from Hooppole, IL to Walnut Junction. They apparently used CB&Q equipment as it was returned to them when the railroad closed down in 1953. Use the link for a nostalgic trip. Read the history and see the photo section. Lots of photos. http://www.tampicohistoricalsociety.com/HYandT_History.html ; Keith Nystedt Phone 630-697-1334 Fax 630-416-8777 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
