Two good examples of car numbers are pages 97(Silver Tower) and 126(Silver
Veranda) from Burlington Route "Way of the Zephyrs-The Postwar Years" by

Let me correct myself. I found a photo I made of former Western Pacific CZ
Dining Car "Silver Plate" at Portola in the fall of 2009. It shows the faded
number "841" at the end of the center panel. There is no road initials as I
stated from memory.

My photo of "Silver Plate" is added to a new folder on the group list.
