The number one source you should have is Ed Fulcomer's Colorado & Southern,
Southern Division published by Four Ways West. Also good would be the C&S
bible, Hol Wagner's The Colorado Road. I believe the former is still in print,
and the latter often shows up on eBay.

Subject: [CBQ] C&S Operations on the "Joint Line" in the late 1960's
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the list and I'm doing some research on the Joint Line for the
1960's for a future model railroad. I'm trying to get an idea of what the C&S
operations were like during the 1965-1968 perio that I'm thinking about
modeling.
I've got the basics for the passenger trains, but am curious about freights -
most specifically the C&S.
A couple other things I'm trying to figure out relating to the C&S...
1) What kind of train schedule did the C&S have for the joint line? Approx. how
many trains did they run each day? (Also - did they have symbols or were they
run as extras?)
2) How common was CB&Q power on the C&S? Was it very common, or did the C&S use
mostly their own locomotives?
3) What would be a good source of info on rolling stock and cabooses owned by
the C&S?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Cheers,
Brian
