I haven't heard of any of these cars being scrapped. From what I understand,
they are still in great condition. Ozark Mountain Railcar has some listed for
sale, but do not include which numbers they have. I can only see 790 in their
pictures. Last time I checked, 741-751, 753-780 and 782-787 are still in
use. 790-795 were the cab cars bought by the Q and all have been retired.
I'll send OMR an e-mail and perhaps they can provide us with the numbers and
location of the cars for sale. I'll also do some digging to see if I can find
out what happened to the cars that Mr. Gardner purchased for possible use in
Madison, WI. Perhaps they are one in the same.

A couple of years ago, Metra retired a number of the original Q
gallery cars. At one time, I had heard that some or all of them were
stored in Wisconsin. Does anyone know the current status of the cars,
the number retired and the car numbers? Possibly, they were scrapped.
Does Metra have any known plans to retire any more of the remaining Q
cars in the near future?
