Just because none of us have asked a question about something thats been long gone for some time I'll throw one out. You'll need a RR map of Illinois dated prior to 1948 to answer. My 1928 issue of The Handy RR Atlas doesn't show the line you need to know about. So either it came into existance after '28 or this atlas has an error. Here's the question: The Milwaukee Road would send angle bars to Carter Blatchford at Aurora on the West Batavia line for their "reconditioning". Where did the Milw gons get on the Q to be delivered to Blatchford? It wasn't via an interchange in the Chicago Switching district, nor at Rockford or Mendota. There are a very few who know this answer immediately and I ask them to wait a bit. Also if one of those guys answers he must also supply the name of the Q job that pulled the car from where the Q received it.(yes I know this thanks to those long talks w/guys like Wade Gorman,Spencer, etc) If someone needs a clue or 2 they will be forthcoming in a couple days.
