[CBQ] Irish Mail

Leo and everyone,

What is the origin of the name Irish Mail and I assume it was called that for 
some time?  I've heard a lot of stories but none that were certain.  A detailed 
article would really be neat on the West Chicago Branch considering it is the 
"seed" from which sprouted the Q.  The Aurora branch/Batavia branch/NIFA branch 
would be nice to include as well.  

Also, has everyone checked out the Illinois Geographical Survey website with 
the areal photographs from 1939-1941?  
http://www.isgs.illinois.edu/nsdihome/webdocs/ilhap/ .  It doesn't have all the 
Illinois counties but it does have the Chicago metro area out to Kane and 
Kendall co.
