We have several mbrs with expertise in the area of the Fulton County Narrow
Gauge - all we need is someone to take the lead & begin doing an article for
publication. So you others with FCMG expertise, drop an email to Verlin. I
can offer a FCNG pass to illustrate an article as well as a few photos.
(CB&Q apart from C&S n.g. in Colorado had Deadwood Central in S.D., B&W/B&NW,
etc in Iowa, FCNG in IL, etc - a lot of 3' lines some running into the 1930's.
Also minor ng trackage @ tie plants, etc) Step aside D&RG!

I do have somet information on the F.C.N.G.Ry. that had became a part of the
C.B.&Q. in 1904 ( some say it was from the start).

Good for you Verlin - hope you can make it to a meet and by all means do not
hesitate to offer resourses or material for publication. I do know at one time
we had some mbrs who were liasion with mfgs but not certain where that stands
currently. It's always amused me the # of authors who have done books about
various aspects of the CB&Q but are not mbrs nor do they ask for input.

The bigger BRHS is, the more clout it has with model mfg's, authors, etc. Far
too many Q fans (many on THIS list) are not mbrs. Why not buy one for yourself
@ Thanksgiving (something to be thankful for!) or let the wife, kid or brother
know this is what you want for Christmas (a couple Bulletins, Zephyrs, spec
sheet & a calendar every yr, reduced rates for meets, swap tables, special
offers, etc). PLUS more clout with Athearn et al!
