Glen- I can confirm that the changes made to the Hinsdale depot were made after the 1970 merger as I grew up in that depot and town. I don't have a reference for the baggage doors, but will look around. Allen Moore To: CBQ@yahoogroups.com From: glenehaug@msn.com Date: Sun, 4 Oct 2009 06:31:54 +0000 Subject: [CBQ] Question about Hinsdale Brush Hill Depot I am getting ready to construct a model of the Hinsdale main station, also known as the Brush Hill station. The station has been extensively changed from the CB&Q drawings (i.e. the east building which was a former baggage room is now a waiting room, and the open canopy on the west end has been completely enclosed and made part of the main building. I want to confirm that these changes were made after the 1970 merger, and therefore done by either RTA or Metra. Is that true? Also, can anyone direct me to a reference that would show what the baggage doors looked like on the original east end building. Thanks in advance.
