I've always said the locomotive is a testament to American craftsmanship. At
the railroad we call our locomotives in the yard "junk". However, when you
stop and think about it, most of the locomotives being used are around 40 years
old. . .and still pulling trains. The prime movers are running 24 hours a day,
every day. In this case, the Geep caught on film is over 50 years old. Looks
like to me someone built a machine that would last.
