There has been no extensive coverage, there was a short article in 
Bulletin #3 and was available on disc. I don't know if it is still 
available, it is not shown in the company store. I am unaware if an 
article is planned.

It was not common. According to Corbin's "Burl. In Transition" the rear 
cab for 9769 was added in 1960 when it was assigned to yard engine 
service. A couple of others had rear cabs added when they were assigned 
as switchers and given numbers in 90xx series.
