An interesting note on the difference between the SW7's and the SW1200's. Some
of the SW7's have all weather windows on both sides, some had beacons and some
had the horns on the cab roof, not to mention the two different antennas.
Diesel Era May/June 2005 has a great article n the 7's. John

    Group-

I just aquired a CBQ SW12 in HO gauge, can somebody help me out with a few
detailing points? I've only been able to find a couple photos and they have
answered a little.

-Were there all weather windows on both sides of the cab?
-What type of antenna was used? I've spotted firecracker antennas on some
switchers...
-What is the round structure on top of the long hood between the vents? Is
that the antenna?
  -Beacon light?

I'm also curious to find out if the unit, 9280, survived into the BNSF system
and what it was renumbered.

  Thanks,
  Ryan Gash
