The most important assembly item for me was to use a pencil soldering iron to burn the runner sprues off from the handrails, ladder and other detail parts. I don't believe it is possible to cut the details away from the sprues without breaking them; the stress of cutting the delicate part away from the robust runner is impossible to overcome with even the sharpest blades or nippers. Melting away the sprue either side of the attachment point to the part allows you to cut away the sprue with no pressure on the part.
