Remember the old Q bridge at Quincy Il was originaly a car train bridge before 
they built the Memorial highway bridge.

IIRC when the NS replaced their swingspan in Hannibal with the lift span, they 
prepped the new one upriver at the Sipio landing and had everything ready to 
lift the old one and slide the new one right in. Believe they did it all within 
24-48 hours.

Maybe when BNSF does the Burlington bridge, we'll see some detours on the old 
Brookfield Sub.
