Greetings All, Back in the early 1950s AT&SF members of the BLE tried to 'persuade' C&S members of the BLE that the ATSF enginemen should handle all ATSF/ C&S trains over the Joint Line in Colorado. From1899, to that date, C&S enginemen had handled that companies trains over the Joint Line. The C&S enginemen, under chairman Sam Speas, tried to resist this. Having failed to get their way the ATSF BLE members took the matter up nationally. Thereafter ATSF enginemen seem to have handled all ATSF/ C&S trains over the Joint Line. Can anyone please tell me what happened and why? Regards, Mark Sellars South Australia Stay connected to the people that matter most with a smarter inbox.
