The truth ????. Not sure what could be untrue in what I said. It's based on
what I saw everyday working on the RR and in the G.O. I'm not talking about
today on BNSF.
While I was Ass't to Manager of Trains and Terminals at 547 W Jackson in
1979/80 one of my responsibilities was to monitor terminal car handling. The
exception reports printed out cars over 48 hrs in the terminal at
Cicero,Eola,etc. That was official company policy.
I spent many months working the Earlville Turn and it fairly common to see
the untouched train from the 24 hrs sitting just where we cut it off the
night
before when we got back to Eola.
