Jim and all,
The latest "Railway Prototype Cyclopedia 16" has a great article on the USRA
cars. It has 4 photos of the Q cars, one original and one rebuilt. The rebuilt
also has the "Everywhere West" and the herald on it. There are some
interchanged roads too like the Rock, M&St.L, C&NW and the EJ&E.
The Westerfield model has been greatly improved over the original flat kit. The
body and roof is now one piece so all you have to do is drill and install the
grabs, plumb the brakes and underframe and the usual trucks & couplers. A great
truck is Accurail's Andrews with Intermountain wheels.

Photos of the Accurail plastic kit, Westerfield resin kit and the AMT/Ertl
built up ( discontinued) are on the BRHS Resin & Plastic modelers guide. The
Westerfield cars of this class are mine and were built using the earlier much
harder to build versions. If you want to tackle the resin kit, order it fast as
Al will be ceasing production of his line until a buyer is found.

I'd be happy to field any questions about the model.

Peace out,
Rob Manley
