Marshall was one of the early mbrs of CB&Q His. Soc. He was always generous
in sharing CB&Q information (& he had plenty) and submitted several articles to
our 1st 'Zephyr' in the 1970's. He also offered access to the MTZ to all mbrs
as his Mom was one of the 'keepers' and had access. Marshall was also a
Veteran & proud of his service to the country.
About 5-6 yrs ago I was in Mt.Pleasant on business and we visited. I kept
promising myself I was going to visit him again (he could not get to our meets
any longer) but did not; I deeply regret that. I'd ask each of you that if
there is someone or something relating to the Burlington you have been meaning
to revisit, do it now. Time is flying by and we continue to lose men who gave
invaluable service to their fellow Q fans. Thanks Marsh!
