I have no idea how these came to pass. There were also a few
ASEX cars that showed up from time to time.
I can tell you that the SLSX cars almost always were loaded
at Burlington IA and that was where the empties were supposed
to go. Yes, SLSX stood for Swift but the CB&Q may have just
been leasing the cars as I do not think they were going to a
Swift Plant.
Heck, I can't even find my stock car bulletin.

Culotta has a picture of a
(I think, I'm going from memory and don't have the book) a SLSX (Swift???)
stock car that is a CB&Q
pattern car...SM16 or thereabouts.... with all the Q features except the
placement of the letterboards.
I don't recall any discussion about how these came to pass.... or did I miss
reading it in the stockcar
bulletin?
