Yes, looking at it from today's perspective it's still
hard to believe that only 40 years ago there were many
more scheduled passenger trains St Paul to Savanna and
Aurora than freights.

I recall 2nd 32, 2nd 25 and a few 2nd 12's. The past is always
remembered
better than it was,I guess.
Today we have a great deal more business and really very few engine
failures. The better heated and cooled cabs are appreciated. Today is
still like
working on a convey belt.
