Not to keep this thread going forever, but I remember seeing Waycars
with their draftgrear pulled out and the coupler gone on a couple of
Waycars on Caboose track by the Clyde engine terminal in Cicero yard.
 This was in the early 1960's.  Maybe that's why there was usually a
"bull chain" kept in the Waycar for emergencies.

I also remember the several Waycars had the smaller 3/4 size coupler
used.  Was this common?  Was this on all cars?  I'm not suggesting
using the On3 couplers on O Scale Waycars, but I have pictures showing
the coupler smaller in size.
