Watch our for sanborn maps. They are not always true. The map for the Aurora
Viaduct only shows two tracks and it was three(until ATSF) and was built to add
two more. The sanborn map does show a loose outline of the old quarry that was
filled in where the Broadway Depot was/is

In more modern times any facing point moves required the crew to make a
runaround using one of the many tracks across 1st,2nd or third st in the
general
area of what we loosely call the River St yard.
In reviewing some early Sanborn maps it appears there may have been a
runaround between what is now New York and Galena near the West Aurora frt
station.
