In the "Photos" section, near the upper left corner, just below the word
"photos," you'll see
"view," with a choice to view the albums as either a list or as thumbnail
pictures. If you
choose "thumbnail," they appear in alphabetical order, but if you choose
"list," they appear
in reverse chronological order (i.e., most recent at the top).
I wish I knew what to do about the "Files" section. I share your frustration.
