The PCM CZ F3s are Phase IIa ("Chicken Wire") units.  
The F2 is outwardly identical to a Phase I F3,   The CB&Q F2s were purchased to 
allow 
breaking up the four unit FT ABBA sets into FTAB F2A three unit sets.  They 
were delivered
drawbared back to back but AFAIK not operated that way.
The F2s were the only Burlington F units other than the FTs to have the open or 
"freight" pilot.
All F3-F9 carbodies (C&S & FW&D each had a wreck rebuilt unit furnished looking 
like an F9)
had the enclosed or "passenger" pilot that was used on some E7s and all E8s and 
E9s on the Q.
