Chuck, thanks for those postings...they're really good.


If you go to the downloads page for BRHS, you'll find a roster compiled 
by members of the BRHS from the book "Steam Locomotives of the 
Burlington Route" by Bernard Corbin.  This roster gives a detailed 
account of each locomotive by number, when it was built, who built it, 
what railroad it came from, when it was renumbered, and what it was 
renumbered to.  This should hopefully give you a large portion of info 
that you need, and you can occasionally find copies of that book on eBay 
or other vintage book dealers.
