My name is Chuck Soule, and I just joined the group to share some
information I found recently, and to try to find out some more. I
just opened a folder in Files named Early Locomotives. It has
drawings for four locomotives, and a table of specifications for each
of the locomotives. They are:
Class A 4-4-0 with #72 posted on the tender
Class B 4-4-0 with #112 posted on the tender
Class E 0-4-0 with #342 posted on the tender
Class F 0-4-0 with #335 posted on the tender
These drawings are from photocopies I recently came across, and are
from the National Car Builder, February 1880, pages 28 and 29. There
is no significant additional information on either page to tell me
more about the engines. So my main questions for the list are basic
roster questions:
Builder, date built (obviously near 1880), Size of class, road numbers
of members of the class, and any renumberings that may have occurred
for members of the class.
The drawings were pasted into a notebook that was obviously prepared
by a civil engineer for the Northern Pacific (my primary railroad of
interest).
Any help would be appreciated.
