Hal-
When you come up with wavefiles for the Winton, Bell and Horn that you are
satisfied with can you post links to them?
I haven't installed a LokSound decoder in mine yet but plan to and would
appreciate getting accurate sounds, and I am
sure others on the list would as well.
I would agree that the movie is probably accurate... I wouldn't be surprised
that the unit came with a non-railroad bell as
there was a great deal of concern about alerting people that this train wasn't
your standard old slow-speed steam loco
and there were a number of different warning devices tried.... siriens, Mars
Lights, upward pointing searchlights, etc..

Hi Charlie. I want to model the 9900 as delivered. Since there were
three horns and "Silver Streak" was made within months of delivery,
the soundtrack might be authentic after all. When the first demo run
departs, there is a clear double blast of these chimes.

On this soundtrack, the bell sounds like a fire alarm bell with a
continuous clanging. Does that seem right?

I havn't done a Loksound soundfile before, but have done some sound
sampling for keyboards, and I expect to be able to come up with
something before too long. Thanks for all replies.
