Hi Leo,
I'll take a stab at it. Trainmen had hand signals for each of the 10
numbers and could signal the number of cars or track number with
their hands. I had a older train man once demonstrate all the number
signs, but I could not remember them.
Some towers like Savanna and Grand Crossing had a number box that was
lit and the track number was placed in that box.
I do not know the signs. But is there a resource that shows those
number signs in graphic form.
