Comparing the GM-4C with the GM-4A on the previous page in Mike's book shows
a common rivet line low on the sides of both cars (floor level), and an
extra rivet line towards the top of the 4C sides. Magnifying the higher
rivet line area shows an uneven panel face where the additional height has
been added.
The 4C's were rebuilt in 1959 with 12" extensions, whilst the GM-4A's
82200-82239 (except 82219 and 82223) were rebuilt in 1968 with 24"
extensions.
