Hello,
There's a photo of CB&Q 82253 on page 89 of the CB&Q Color Guide which shows
an GM-4A gondola from the series CB&Q 822200-82549 with extended sides and
ends. There's also an on line photo of CB&Q 82231 on Jan Kohl's castle
graphics web site
http://www.castlegraphics.com/photo/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=44&pos=2 .
I'm thinking of modifying a Proto 2000 gondola to build one of these, but I
don't know whether the extensions were added from the floor up, or attached
(welded?) just below the original sides? Information in Official Railway
Equipment Registers indicate the extensions were 12" above the original
sides and ends on some cars and 23" on others.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
