You know, it occurs to me - especially where it pertains to Rupert -
that a lot of the answers are in the BRHS Zephyr, Q & A 92-17 (Rupert
as he had very kindly copied it for me, as I had lost my copy of the
Zephyr that had that one question).
Although, to be honest with you, the answer is incomplete, though
that isn't meant as criticism, as a lot of new research has been done
lately.
BTW, the answer portion agrees with the assumption that the transcon
agreement would need an additional 7 cars to cover the assignment.
It would seem like there is enough interest to make that answer more
complete now - either as a Zephyr or Bulletin article.
Though, that was, to an extent, done in the Prospector article, it
wasn't specifically addressing the transcon cars - just foreign sleepers.
