The "California Zephyr", "Burlington", "Pennsylvania", and "Penn Central" Train
Name boards are the same size, so for CB&Q modelers this should not be an issue.
The only two cars from the CZ that are dead-on accurate for CB&Q are the
Baggage (Olympus, Argo and Silver Treasure) and they can be easily modeled with
a little
judicious touch up of the mounting holes for the Car Ownership Plates. Same is
true for the very close postwar diners built for the TCZ, DZ etc...
The Ownership Plates include a length appropriate for the PULLMAN operation of
the 1952 10-6 sleepers, but the window arrangement is different on these and
the later
1956 DZ cars.
The rest of the cars are totally unique to the CZ. I believe the Unlettered
cars come with all the possible size Name Plates and Ownership Plates for the
CZ cars and their
close copies.
Autotrain and AMTRAK took off the Train Name Plates so they are the only ones
that would directly benefit from that plate being removeable.
