The Mo Pac Budd built 10-6's arrived in two orders from Budd. 610-613 were
built in 8-1949 and were in the River Series. 614 and 615 were built 9-1949 and
were in the Eagle Series.
The second order 616-621 were named in the Eagle Series, built in 1956.
Now here's the main question, the 1949 10-6's did they have the extra isle
windows that the CZ 10-6's with the exception of Silver Chasm and Silver Crag -
Q 1952?
The 1956 Budd 10-6's were built to the 1956 Denver Zephyr configuration. They
also had 6 wheel trucks. The DZ configuration, from the vestibule 4
Roomettes, 6 Double Bedrooms, 6 Roomettes. Thus placing the higher priced
Bedrooms in
the middle of the car. I also believe the 1956 10-6's had the modified Budd
Fluting like the GN and the NP Budd domes and the NP diners.
The Mo Pac also used 10 Pennsy owned 10-6's built by ACF in through Pullman
Service.
