Pete, I have both books. The latter is Joseph Hardy's book "Burlington
Route West". Both good books. I would like, among other things, to find a
good picture of the depot in it's original 2-story form. I was hoping
someone would have taken photos of the wreck west of town, when an east
bound freight plowed into the rear of another east-bound freight that was
stopped. The engine went through the waycar and three or four cars full of
potatoes. Potatoes all over the place -- both ditches full of potatoes.
Fortunately the rear-end crew was not in the waycar. Could have been '38,
'39, or '40. Quite a mess!
My wife is calling, so must leave. Dale
