The article in Prototype Modeler does not have the drop end. The Athearn car 
fits in the C&S 21000-21019 series that does have drop ends, at least they are 
listed in the 1952 Equipment Register.(20 cars). John

  The photo you have probably is from an old Model Railroading, from when the 
current editor of RMJ was editing MRG.  The Jan/Feb 1989 Prototpe Modeler has a 
Stephen Heath article on a kitbash approximating the 21050-21069 series, 1965 
Ortner-built 65-foot mill gons (19 ribs/20 panels).  It has a photo of 21067 in 
waht is described as the as-delivered paint scheme of Chinese red with 
billboard "Burlington" lettering.  The Athearn car isn't a dead-on match, but 
it's similar enough that most people wouldn't know the differences.
