[CBQ] C&S Mill Gons, Athearn

I just picked up two new Athearn Mill Gondolas. I plan to alter the 
numbers and reporting marks to make them C&S.  I am not aware that the 
C&S cars were ever repainted into the paint scheme that Athearn sells. 
Does anybody know if they did indeed end up in the bright red scheme.  
I have a picture in an old Rail Model Journal(?) showing one in a C&S 
in presumably the original paint. I purchased one ATSF because the 
color and lettering will be easier to change. Thanks for any help that 
can be provided.  Steve
