Greetings All,
The C&S and the AT&SF entered into the "Joint Line
Agreement" which became opertional in April 1900.
Under the Agreement the ATSF assumed
the manning of all C&S trains on the new Denver
Division
the manning of all switchers in the Springs and
Pueblo
the servicing of C&S trains in Pueblo
The C&S assumed
all switching duties in Denver
the servicing of AT&SF trains in Denver.
By all accounts the Agreement served both railroads
well.
Co-operation seemed excellent.
WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE TRAIN MEN THAT USED TO RUN
BETWEEN DENVER AND PUEBLO over the abandoned C&S
tracakge?
Were they reassigned within the C&S?
Did they join the ATSF with their seniority in tact?
or did they loss their seniority?
Did they find employment elsewhere?
Regards, Mark Sellars
