I must differ with statement #3. At one time a Galesburg Division did exist.
It was
combined with the Beardstown Division and Timetable Number 1 for the two
divisions was
issued on April 25, 1954. The Galesburg and Beardstown Divisions became a
part of the
Hannibal Division with some territory assigned to the Chicago & Aurora
Division.

The Galesburg Division consisted of the follwong Subdivisions on February 1,
1953
  (TT#62):

  Galesburg - West Quincy
  Savanna - Galesburg
  Lass - Ebner
  Rock Island - Barstow
  Peoria - Galesburg
  Buda - Rushville
  Agnew - Denrock
  Quincy - East Hannibal
  Galva - New Boston
  Fairview - Lewistown

  Best regards,

  Ed DeRouin
