In the new Zephyr #51 is a photo of Walthers model #932-35812 - Pullman
Standard 60' double door autoparts box car #9857. I don't know how good a
model this is, but the number appears to be bogus.
If this model is supposed to represent an XM-5 built in 1963 (and the "new"
date in the model's photo appears to match) the number should be between 9800
and 9849. The group of numbers 9850-9899 appeared in the February 1964 ORER,
but the numbers weren't used.
On the opposite page is a photo of the new Athern model apparently of the same
car although, noting the differences, it is hard to believe.
And thanks and congratulations to all those responsible for the new Zephyr and
calendar - excellent as usual.
