As long as these were in Pullman lease - even after the 1948 divestiture,
Burlington kept the word PULLMAN on the letterboard (in Railroad Roman). There
was no indication that these cars were owned by the Q. I have a picture from
Hol Wagner of New Capitol at Denver in 10/65 with PULLMAN on the letterboard
and the name on the car. Once they were taken out of Pullman lease, the
pictures I have show NO name on the letterboard and CB&Q and the car number
centered
below the beltrail in small letters. Though I never say never, I haven't seen
a picture of a pure Pullman sleeper with the name BURLINGTON on the
letterboard . The Walthers Burlington sleepers are incorrect. Branchline
needs to be
careful with these...
