I ran across some information that indicates there was a predecesser road, in 1858 at least, to the Illinois Grand Trunk that built the railroad from Mendota toward Denrock. I can only make out what looks like "C----noha" for the first town. The rest of the name is "Albany and Mendota". Does anyone know what this word is, and what this railroad's disposition is?
