That fantrip with Big Alice, 4-6-4 No. 4000, was July 1, 1956, from Chicago
to Barstow (sic) to Galesburg to Chicago, and was sponsored by The Railroad
Club of Chicago, Inc. The Q lined up locomotives at Galesburg for the fans to
photograph. They all had been washed and polished and shiny, and with old
Kodachrome I, did not photograph well at all. Too glossy. Jim Neubauer, trip
director for the RRCofC at that time.
