I question that the train was the Pioneer Zephyr. The photo is too blurred
to tell. My belief is that it could be the Mark Twain Zephyr but, I could
be wrong. Maybe if the Zephyrs were serviced in Burlington, any of them
could have gone through Keokuk. I'm sure the others on the list would know
this . The magnificent depot is still there but needs a lot of help.

Thanks for posting that site. Did a search on Keokuk and found a 1953
timetable for the Centreville branch and photographic evidence of the
Pioneer Zephyr passing through Keokuk (although the date for the picture
seems too early). Does anyone know when and why this trip up the K-line
may
have happened?
