I have purchased the beautiful car and the lighting kit from Kato. The
instructions for the lighting kit say that if control of the interior lights is
desired on a DCC system, a decoder is needed. Has anyone out there installed a
decoder to do this? If so, will they please tell me what they did?
It looks like I could solder wires to the contact studs coming up from the
trucks but I am not sure of what that material is and what might happen if I
try to solder. It would be nice to have control of both the marker/rear light
and the interior lights.
