As far as it goes the model is fairly accurate.
The Dynamometer "Z" was basically a standard 30' wood waycar body with the
windows rearranged and a centered side door. The cupola was truncated and
one end did not have a platform or steps. The door on the end with the
platform (the originally the early all-wood style that was applied to
waycars with truss rod underframes) was offset to one side.
The car rode on standard No. 7 waycar trucks (although a dim recollection
says that one of the trucks did not have brake rigging....can't say for
sure).
The car lasted through several rebuildings and ended up in MOW service as a
dormitory car. The rebuildings included adding a more normal cupola, a full
length box clerestory structure and updated platform steps to both ends as
well as additional windows and blanking out the side door.
One of the Burlington Bulletins had most of the known photos of the car.
The frustrating thing about this is that at one point Northeastern had
drawings or good photos of the car that they used to design the kit....but
they lost them!

this model and its accuracy?
