Marc,
This was not a "paper" rr, It was Built as the Missouri, Iowa and
Nebraska, renamed as the Keokuk and Western and connected with the
Humeston and Sheanandoah. These lines were then merged into the CB&Q.
The best source for information is the hard to find book "Across Iowa on
the Keokuk and Western and the Humeston and Sheanandoah railroads" by
Bernard Corbin and Joseph Hardy.
