Sam,
Can answer one question. BN did not classify either waycars
or freight cars. They did use the AAR's standard mechanical
designations so all waycars are listed as "NE".

Subject: [CBQ] Information Please...
I am getting together a proposal to begin restoration of BN waycar 11443
(former SP&S). I have the SP&S caboose book, so I have some of the
specs, but I need appropriate BN paint specs including BN Green,
Lettering white, safety yellow ends, black? underframe and roof. Does
anyone out there have such a spec sheet? What class waycar was this?
Did anybody make a scale model of this class waycar? I have info on
SP&S only, not BN. Will probably restore it to about 1980 vintage since
the tracks thru Milan were removed in 1982.
The waycar is currently owned by the Sullivan County (MO) Historical
Society and sits on a short section of track by the Milan, MO depot
(QO&KC), also owned by the historical society. The theme would be: the
depot represents the beginning of service thru Milan, and the waycar
represents the end.
Any help with the planning and/or implementation of this project would
be appreciated.
Thanks.
