I think the answer to your second question is yes, but I'll need to root 
around my photo files a bit to say for sure.   I have quickly located one shot 
from 1970 showing one of the cars freshly painted for M of W service.   Another 
from the same photo series shows Burlington trailers on TOFC flats but no 
ex-troop cars in the Oregon yard, so I presume they were no longer used 
servicing 
Kable by then.

You also might want to post your query to the list.   I left Oregon in 1964 
and made brief summer visits 1965-68 and 1970.   There's at least one listee 
(from Mount Morris?) who is real familiar with Kable operations.
