Mike, I'll be blunt...if the sound doesn't matter to you, then I wouldn't
bother. The level of detail is comparable
to the P2K version (I don't have a P2k E7 yet), and it is similarly powered. I
like it, and if I had a P2K E7, I would have
still probably bought this one, but I'm doing somewhat of a collection of BN
and CB&Q locomotives, so keep that
in mind.

don't own any Proto E7s? Now here's the question, would you have bought the
Broadway E7s if you already owned the Proto 2000 E7s. Or is the sound of the
Broadways enough to clinch the purchase?
I wasn't able to justify spending the money for the Broadways (already owning
I think every pair of black striped E-unit Proto released - and some of those
at $40 apiece!). Are other people buying them?
