Although I'd prefer a 1966 or earlier car, the build date isn't a 
deal-breaker.  After all, what I'm trying to capture with this car is 
a memory I had from the mid-70s anyway.

But I would like to have a model that is at least somewhat close to 
prototypical, so I guess that puts us back at square one: 

What would the BRHSlist recommend as a CB&Q prototype and HO scale 
model freight car that would capture the essence of a steel Chinese 
red grain loading boxcar from the 1960s?
